Top 10 Things I've Learned About France

  1. While you're out eating at all the fancy french restaurants, the french people are eating at McDonalds.
  2. Parisians love Starbucks.
  3. Trying to start a conversation with french people by assuming they like soccer is NOT a safe bet. Rugby is probably a better way to go. It is less likey you will be pegged as a sissy.
  4. If anyone knows what being called "Le petit canard" by a male waiter in a restaurant refers to, please let me know.
  5. Chinese people sound the same in France
  6. The french are able to smoke and consume large amounts of butter in the form of pastries and yet still live longer than the average american.
  7. For women, putting your jeans inside your boots is very "fashion".
  8. That whole transit strike... yeah... get this... the transit workers were striking to maintain the right t retire at 50.... FIFTY?? Who retires at 50??? Lazy french bastards...
  9. Other unions went on strike to protest the Transit worker strike. Basically... the french love to strike. It's a wonder things get done.
  10. Paris is indeed a beautiful city.
